Blume

Blume is located in Philadelphia & it is definitely my favorite new place for a specialy cocktail.

They opened at the end of April & it’s literally an Instagram playground; it’s very bright & colorful.

You know your “old” when the menu print is so small & it’s dark that you accidentally order a drink with coconut (I can’t stand the taste) 🤦‍♀️😂

My favorite drink there was the cotton candy & it does sell out so that is one drink I had to wait for & by far it was my favorite.

They also sell beer, wine & light plates.

Important information:

There is a parking garage right next door.

If you want a table, I highly suggest making a reservation.

Four Twelve

Who knew there’d be the cutest coffee shop located in Hamburg, Pa. Their coffee gives me the boost I need to start my day & their waffles are heavenly.

Important information:

Free street parking.

Closed on Sundays.

Specials change every month.

There’s outdoor seating (weather permitting)

The Works at Wyomissing

The Works is an entertainment complex located in West Reading, Pa. There’s an arcade, indoor go-karts, ballocity, rock climbing wall, trampoline park, & it has a bar/restaurant. At 28 years old, I love going to this place to grab a drink & play some air hockey; once I have kids, I’ll have even more of a reason to go 😂

Important information:

They have birthday parties.

If you go on your birthday you get a FREE alcoholic fishbowl drink (21+)

If your bring your birth certificate or ID you get a free go-kart race during your birth month.

No adults are allowed in Ballocity on the weekends. During the week you may accompany your child, but said child must be present for you to purchase an adult ticket.

The Wheel

The Wheel is located in Pottsville, Pa. If your in the area for a Yuengling tour, I highly suggest going here after. My first thought was “it’s just a grilled cheese” but boy was I wrong. I got mine on a waffle with buffalo shredded chicken & pierogies (yes, perogies).

Important information:

Have quarters handy because it is metered street parking.

Candy’s homemade icecream

Candy’s is located in Shoemakersville, Pa & I’m pretty sure it is a bad thing that I live so close because nothing compares. They have hot foods, Italian ice, icecream cakes, & cookie sandwiches.

Important information:

They only make waffles on Tuesdays.

They have a dairy free icecream as well.

On a nice day, it gets packed, but I promise its worth the wait.

There are picnic tables to sit outside.

Tomcat Cafe

Outside of Reading, Pa there is a hidden gem called Tomcat Cafe. The portions are huge & the food is to die for.

Important information:

They’re only open Wednesday to Sunday 8 to 2.

There is street parking & a church parking lot next door, but that can’t be used on Sundays.

If you want to share a meal, there will be a surcharge.

Green Eggs Cafe

Green Eggs is located in the Gayborhood of Philadelphia & in my opinion it is the best place for brunch. I never had something I didn’t like & I even got my grandfather hooked. The only advice I can give is get there EARLY (even on a weekday)!

Important information:

They take cash only, but there is an ATM inside.

Depending how early you get there, there is street parking, but there is plenty of garages nearby.

The parking lot across from Green Eggs is pricey especially if you only plan to stay for breakfast.

Reading Terminal Market is less than a 10 minute walk away.

Vegan Treats

Vegan Treats is located in Bethlehem, Pa & EVERYTHING they make is vegan. I’m a sucker for their rotating soft serve schedule or their danishes. I highly suggest going during the week or when they open because it gets packed, but the wait is so worth it. Also, they are dog friendly! Willow gets so much attention when I bring her.
